Cancerbane is a mythical creature in Greek legends. Its portrayal often shows it as a multi-headed canine watching over the gates of the underworld. According to some legends, Cancerbero owns three heads, while in others it can have up to nine separate heads. The word "cancerbero" is also used to refer to a watchful and unyielding guardian.
